Q: Are the web site prices listed in CAD or US dollars?
A: By default, all online prices are listed in CAD dollars. However, our website does have a currency converter to list the prices in Canadian dollar, US dollar, Euro, British Pound Sterling or Australian dollar. Q : Do you sometimes have sales and liquidations?
A : Yes, depending on the demand, the time of year and the rebate given to us by our manufacturers, we can have items on sale. You can always visualize our items on sale by clicking the DEALS collection on our home page. You can also see what’s on sale trough our catalog since items on sale will have a red banner across the picture. You can see our whole inventory by clicking the All Products tab on our home page.
Q: What types of payment do you accept?
A: We accept Master Card, VISA, American Express, PayPal and Apple Pay.
Sorry, we don't accept personal checks, cashier's checks, money orders, mall gift certificates, COD or cash.
If you don’t have a credit card or a Paypal account, please contact us, maybe we can get an arrangement for you or maybe we will be present at a rock festival near you soon so you can meet us and pay cash on site.
Q: Do I have to pay taxes on my purchase?
A: If you are located in Canada, sales tax will be calculated according to the province in which the order is being shipped, according to province and country laws. In other countries, no taxes will be charged.

Shipping and delivery
Q : Do you ship in all countries?
A : Yes, we ship to most countries around the world.
Q: Do you ship to P.O. Boxes?
A : Yes, no problem.
Q : How much cost the shipping?
A : To simplify things for our customers and to make sure you always get a really cheap price for delivery, we charge 2,95$ for orders between 0,01$ and 14,99$ and 6,95$ for orders over 14,99$ (larger items), no matter your location.
Q : When will I receive my items?
A : All items are made to order and are shipped from Canada in around 1 to 3 business days for Canadian customers. After that the order is shipped, packages take around 5 to 9 business days to get to your door.
For international customers, items are shipped every Thursdays (except on holidays) from United States. If Thursday falls on a holiday, the orders are shipped on the next business day. After the order is shipped, packages take around 5 to 20 business days to get to your door, depending on your location.
Q : My items haven't been shipped yet, why?
A : It takes us 1-3 days to process the order for Canadian customers and 1 to 6 days for international customers before we can ship them. It could take a little longer for printed items since those items are customized and printed one at the time.
Q : Why does it takes so long to get my order?
A : There are few reasons why your order may take much more time than usual; holidays and custom clearance are the obstacles in most cases. Remember that the expected delivery time is calculated based on business days only, that it takes us 1-3 days to process the order for Canadian customers and 1 to 6 days for international customers before we can ship and that it could take a little longer for printed items since those items are customized and printed one at the time
Q: I haven’t received my item. What do I do?
A: All orders are processed Monday through Friday but are not processed or shipped on weekends or holidays. If you read the 3 questions/answers above and you still think your order is missing in action, write us an email by clicking the Contact Us tab on our home page.
Q: Do you ship orders overseas?
A: Yes, we ship orders all over the world. All order communication will occur via email, so it’s very important that your email address is current. Please make sure to double-check the shipping address, too. Your phone number is optional, but it helps in case there is a delivery problem.
Exchanges / Returns / Reimbursements
Q: What’s your exchange/return/satisaction policy?
A: We want our customers to be excited, comfortable, stress free and fully satisfied about their shopping experience at Trashcan so we offer you a 30 day money back guarantee on all our products. The item you received wasn't exactly what you expected? Just ship it back to us and we will refund you, or exchange the item, no question asked! We hope you love what you’ve ordered, but if there’s an issue or you’re not 100% satisfied, contact us to discuss an arrangement. You can return your item(s) to us for a refund or for an exchange. Please note that we don’t refund or exchange items that has been worn, washed or that had been damaged after reception. We cannot exchange underwears either. When there’s a size chart in the pictures of the item on our website, you are responsible to look at it and to choose the right fit for your size.
Please save the invoice you received by email (your order confirmation). It’s your receipt in case you need to exchange/return your item(s)!
Q : How do I return an item?
A : First, email us by using our contact form on the Contact Us tab of our Home Page. We will give you an address where you can ship back your item(s) (address depends on your location). Pack your return securely, in the original package if possible, and include your invoice. Go to the nearest post office and ask for a regular package shipping to the address we gave you by email.
Please note that Trashcan is not responsible for lost or damaged packages. The package returned to us is the responsibility of the carrier once you shipped it until we receive it.
You will be reimbursed for 50% of your return postage fees. Please send us the postal service invoice so we can reimburse you.
You will not receive a refund for your return and you will not receive your exchanged item until we receive your returned item.
You will not be charged a shipping fee for your exchange.
Q: If I return merchandise, how long will it take to receive my credit?
A: Returns can take up to 3 business days (5 if during holidays) to process once it has been received. The refund is issued once the return is processed. An email will be sent to you the day we receive the package and you’ll receive another one when your refund has been granted.
Q : How do I know if I ordered the right size for me?
A : For some products, you can see a size chart on the last picture of the item. You can then take your measurements and choose the perfect fit for you. When there’s no chart, it’s usually that the item fits true size so simply choose your normal size.
Q : Can I find your products elsewhere?
A : That depends if the item is one of our exclusives or not. Like all retailing stores, we offer our clients a vast selection of brands and collections. Common brands can be found elsewhere. If you shop in our exclusives items collection, you will not be able to find those items anywhere else since the Trashcan brand is only available on our website and at our booths during rock festivals. You can see those items by clicking the Exclusive Items tab on our Home page.
Q : What is ‘’pleated’’ or ‘’PU’’?
A : This refers to any synthetic material that looks like leather. It’s a vegan, cheaper and eco-friendly option.
Q: Does Trashcan have a printed catalog?
A: We do not have a printed catalog for now. You can see our whole inventory by clicking the tab named All Products of our Home Page. We also do have a monthly direct mailer! You can opt in to receive news about our last items released and our promotions by entering your email address in the section Be the first to know at the bottom of our Home Page. Q: How should I care for my leather stuff?
A: Surface clean leather products with a soft, damp cloth, or have them cleaned by a professional. If you choose to use a cleaning product, only use ones that are specially formulated for leather and always spot test in an inconspicuous area first. Leather is porous and will absorb chemicals. Be careful! Chemicals may cause discoloration and ruin your item.
Q: How should I care for my pleather items?
A: Pleather can be hand washed, but always check the label beforehand. A simple and safe method to clean pleather is to surface wash it with a mild detergent and a damp washcloth. Hang it to air dry. Of course, always test a small area before using detergent on the garment.
Q: How do I care for clothing that has spikes, rivets and grommets?
A: Removing all straps or other accents that can be removed is a great idea. Make sure to have all zippers zipped, buttons buttoned and snaps snapped. Wash garments delicately in cold water. If possible, try using dark-colored material detergent, such as Woolite or Zero. Mend any material that may be strained by the weight of hardware, straps and stuff.
Q: How do I care for a t-shirt with a transfer image on it?
A: Follow the care instructions as closely as possible. Wash your tee inside out, preferably in cold water, and never iron the transfer image.
Q: How do I care for my suede stuff?
A: Clean the surface of suede products with a soft brush, or have them cleaned by a professional. Once you’ve brushed off the soil as best as you can, you can rejuvenate the texture by brushing it gently with a suede brush in a circular motion.
Q: How should I care for my faux fur items?
A: Most faux fur can be washed with mild detergent on the delicate cycle in the washing machine. Another alternative would be to hand wash or dry clean the item. Never tumble dry faux fur items! Even a small amount of time in the clothes dryer will cause permanent damage to the item—and possibly your dryer. Simply hang to dry.
Q: How should I care for my vinyl stuff?
A: Always hang vinyl away from other garments, especially other vinyl pieces. Vinyl can become sticky if you fold it or store it next to other vinyl items. It may adhere to or bleed onto itself or the other item, causing irreparable damage. Never wash vinyl in a washing machine or dry it in a clothes dryer. The safest method to clean vinyl clothing and accessories is to wipe them clean with a damp cloth and hang them up to dry.
Q: How do I care for delicates like bras, corsets and garter skirts?
A: Hand wash your delicate items in cold water with a mild detergent. Very gently use a dry, absorbent towel to remove any excess water, then hang the item to dry.
Q: Can I get my order gift wrapped?
A: Sorry, gift wrapping is currently not available.
Q : Where are you located?
A : We have two locations, one in Canada and one in the United States but those are warehouses that are not accessible to public. We are an online store only.
